“The yoga community deserved better than brands built on exploitation. I needed activewear that lived up to the philosophy of Ahimsa, so I built it myself.”

Studio Nidra was born from a personal need. During my first yoga teacher training, I searched for activewear that combined quality, aesthetics, and responsible production. Surprisingly, no brand seemed to deliver all three. Even more shocking was seeing most companies still relying on harmful manufacturing and exploitative practices - despite non-harm being central to yoga philosophy. In 2022, I asked myself: “How hard could it be to create a better alternative?” Turns out: pretty hard. But worth it. We began a long research and development process to create activewear without compromise. Pyratex® - the renowned fabric house behind sustainable capsules for some of luxury fashion’s biggest names - believed in our vision. Together, we developed fabrics that feel as luxurious as they are ethical. From there, we partnered with skilled manufacturers in Portugal who still believe in craftsmanship and care. We tested prototypes with yoga teachers, climbers, acrobats, pilates practitioners, and movement enthusiasts across Europe, listening closely to honest community feedback every step of the way. The result is activewear designed to elevate movement and feel exceptional from the moment you put it on. Designed in Switzerland, handcrafted in Portugal, and engineered for movement.
