I founded MIA & SOLE because I wanted to create clothing that combines exceptional quality with true accessibility. Growing up, I often admired beautiful designer pieces, yet women my age could rarely afford garments crafted from high-quality materials and made with care. I wanted to change that. My goal was to build a brand that offers timeless, versatile designs without the unattainable price tag—pieces that women can feel confident and comfortable in, without compromising on craftsmanship or style. MIA & SOLE designs collections that stand out through their flexibility and transformable nature. At the heart of every piece are premium, natural materials paired with unique designs that can be individually adjusted to the body. The garments integrate effortlessly into any wardrobe, offering endless styling possibilities—whether for everyday wear or special occasions. With meticulous attention to material selection and a deep love for detail, MIA & SOLE creates a harmonious balance between individuality and timeless elegance. The mission of MIA & SOLE goes beyond creating fashion—it aims to make a positive impact on the industry. The brand uses only natural European fabrics and repurposes leftover textiles from previous productions, known as deadstock materials. In addition, every garment is produced in strictly limited quantities to ensure exclusivity and reduce waste.

Sophia Brandis and Marlene Engel design womenswear that adjusts to the body — not the other way around. Made in small runs across Poland, Portugal, and Lithuania from Italian silk, merino wool, and organic cotton, every Mia & Sole piece is built to outlast the season it arrives in.
The idea started with a gap, not a grand plan. When Sophia Brandis and Marlene Engel first became roommates during their university years in Berlin in 2014, they shared a closet problem: finding well-made, thoughtfully designed clothes that didn't cost a fortune or cut corners in production. The brands they admired were either inaccessible or making compromises they weren't willing to accept. So they decided to build the one they were looking for.
Marlene trained as a designer. Sophia went to Amsterdam to study fashion enterprise, then worked in product management and at luxury retailers like Mytheresa. When they launched Mia & Sole in Berlin in 2023, they brought complementary instincts, Marlene's eye for silhouette and detail, Sophia's understanding of supply chains and what makes a garment hold up over time.
Im Zentrum der Kollektion steht das Konzept wandelbarer Kleidung, Stücke mit anpassbarer Passform, die sich dem Körper der Trägerin anschmiegen, statt eine starre Form vorzugeben. Das klingt einfach, verlangt aber präzise Verarbeitung und Materialien, die mitspielen. Jeder Stoff ist natürlich: italienische Seide, feine Merinowolle, Kaschmir, Bio-Baumwolle, Tencel, Cupro. Alles aus europäischen Webereien, die Strickgarne nach dem 4sustainability-Framework zertifiziert. Nichts Synthetisches, nichts Übereiltes.
Produziert wird in kleinen Stückzahlen in Werkstätten in Polen, Portugal und Litauen, bewusst begrenzt, um dem Überproduktionsproblem der Branche etwas entgegenzusetzen. Jeder Partner wird nach einer bestimmten Stärke ausgewählt, sei es Strickkonstruktion oder feine Endverarbeitung. Selbst die Hangtags erzählen eine Geschichte: unbeschichtetes Papier, 80 % recycelt, FSC-zertifiziert.
Was Mia & Sole bietet, ist leise und durchdacht, Kleidung, die sich ihren Platz im Schrank verdient, weil sie gut sitzt, sich richtig anfühlt und auch nach dem dritten Winter noch genauso aussieht.
