This handbuilt vase draws inspiration from planetary satellites, crafted entirely from grey stoneware clay. After its initial firing at 960°C, it is glazed with a custom "lava glaze," which fuses with the clay during a second firing at 1240°C. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that stands 21 cm tall and 14 cm wide at its broadest point. Each glaze is uniquely formulated by the artisan, and the vase was showcased in the "but is it ART?" exhibition at Kleistone Studio.
